To Develop and Expand by Networking and Sharing Knowledge
Women in Business were established in 1996. It was the aspiration of a few women who had identified the need for an organisation where women could meet informally to exchange ideas, network and create business opportunities.
During the first two years there has been a varied programme of events providing a balance between business and social activities. Members were consulted along the way and this has proven to be invaluable in determining how the organisation is meeting the needs of its members. Over the years the membership has grown and continues to do so. We hold an AGM every year in November where new committee members are invited to join and old ones step down. In addition due to the work load of running the group, we agreed to increase the committee membership to include an administrator, who would work with the committee to support them in their activities.
Women in Business is a networking organisation for decision-making women in Hull, East Yorkshire and North/North East Lincolnshire.
The aim is to contribute through training and develop- ment to member's business and personal lives, whilst

With a varied programme of events, both business and social, we offer members the opportunity to share ideas and experiences, make business contacts and learn from each other.
